The Catholic Catechism states that smoking is a sin. Why are you not interested that Medical Science states that smoking causes cancer and other health problems? My Mother passed away from Lung Cancer brought about by smoking(even though she had quit several years before). So don't come around with this nonsense that smoking does not cause cancer. Where does the Catholic Catechism say smoking is a "sin"?? I never said smoking doesn't cause cancer. Eating sugar can cause some people to become diabetic. Eating fat can cause some people to have clogged arteries. Salt can cause some people to have high blood pressure......, etc..etc.. 2291 implies that smoking is a sin.

Forgivness is simply removing the temptation for vengence...simply saying this soul is in Gods hands...not mine. I think the hard part is not having ill feelings toward the person if you have to see them, especially if they feel they've done nothing wrong or have never apologized. It's very difficult for me to put on a nice smile with people, although I know I should, therefore I just try to avoid them till I can.

(Ticks, Lyme Disease, etc.) Do you think it's a sin to take a relaxing but unnecessary Sunday drive due to the risks? (Car accidents) Do you think it's a sin to take a swim due to the risks? ( drowning, water borne illnesses, etc.)

The question about cigarettes and tobacco was not about what "Medical Doctors" say or whether a particular person likes or dislikes cigarettes or tobacco, but what does the Catholic Church state regarding the use of cigarettes or tobacco?? (Not interested in the Protestant Novus Ordo private interpretation on the matter.) Medical Science proved a long time ago that smoking causes cancer and all kinds of other health problems and produces absolutely no health benefits whatsoever. So it is useless to smoke if it produces no health benefits whatsoever. Take a look at a radiograph of a smoker and it shows the lungs are all messed up from smoking. It really is pathetic that anybody would smoke. Fine your opinion on the matter is noted AGAIN...but the issue is is it a sin according to the Church....NOPE

I might keep you around because you're fun...but comments like this place you dead center over my trap door. Do you you always make broad unprovable insults...is that your schtick? It was not an insult when I stated "Every Catholic who is normal accepts the Novus Ordo Mass as being a valid Catholic Mass that has the doctrine of transubstantiation.". Sure it is because some very excellent and completely solid "normal" Catholics understand the NO is a protestant Masonic NON catholic ritual.

I am not interested in "Medical Doctors" opinions, nor peoples likes or dislikes, or peoples opinions on the matter of cigarettes or tobacco. I asked what the Catholic Church says on the matter. You evidently are hung up on bashing people who use tobacco. Sounds Protestant to me. The Catholic Catechism states that smoking is a sin. Why are you not interested that Medical Science states that smoking causes cancer and other health problems? My Mother passed away from Lung Cancer brought about by smoking(even though she had quit several years before). So don't come around with this nonsense that smoking does not cause cancer and that it is perfectly acceptable to smoke. My brother was killed in 1978 in a car accident involving a motorcycle, a car, and a tour bus...are people assinine for still using car busses and motorcycles.Very sorry to hear about your loss BTW it must have been very hard on you...sincerely.

If the doctrine of transubstantiation is in the Novus Ordo Mass then how can it be Protestant when Protestants do not accept the doctrine of transubstantiation?

Because transubstatiation does not happen at the NO...Deo Gracias. Where do you come up with that nonsense that transubstantiation does not happen during the Novus Ordo mass? The priest states during the consecration of the bread and wine for the bread and wine to become the Body and Blood of Jesus. Transubstantiation is one of the teachings of the Novus Ordo Mass.

The Novus Ordo (New Mass) is a counterfeit Mass. Vatican II is counterfeit. God does NOT change to suit mans whims. "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever". It is doubtful if the Priests who say the New Mass are even ordained and valid Priests as the Rite of Ordination was changed during the counterfeit Vatican II council.
