I am not going to turn down any offers made by the management. I am going to leave them open and on the table. Circumstances can change very quickly especially when dealing with druggies as they are not stable and then my husband may want to reconsider moving.

Veronica...it is the Position of Trad Cath Forum that wives should follow the leadership of their husbands if they are faithful Catholics.

Veronica...it is the Position of Trad Cath Forum that wives should follow the leadership of their husbands if they are faithful Catholics. I AM following his leadership by NOT accepting the offer of the management to move apts now. I am just saying, circumstances next door may get worse, and if they do and he would then want to make a move, the option would be open for him to do so by not closing the door completely on the offer of the management, but leaving it open. Does that not make me a faithful Catholic?? I think considering the circumstances it is a wise thing to do as we have never been in this kind of a situation before. BTW, throughout this thread I have stated at every turn, that "I needed to run it by my husband" to get his permission.

My husband is of the opinion that these "types" don't stay in any one place very long and that the guy will probably be moving on soon. I do hope and pray that he is right.
UPDATE: Today and so far tonight it has been the quietest it has been as far as traffic goes since the guy moved in a month ago. Also have not had any skunk smells today or tonight! Something has happened.

Well, definitely do what your husband wants. That trumps everything. He sounds like he loves you a lot. So trust him. And the fact that it has been quiet next to you might mean that the landlord told your neighbor that he had to stop or leave... That being said, I will continue to keep you and this situation in my prayers. Please keep us posted!

There is some traffic late at night, but not all day and night like before. There is some smell in the hallway near his door, but it isn't the real skunky smell that permeated the whole hallway as before. It seems we may HAVE to move after all. My husband came home yesterday and was very upset. He told me the enrollment numbers for the upcoming school yr at the school he teaches at has plummeted significantly and he may not have a job next year as a result. He is almost 60 yrs old and feels he will have a difficult time getting hired if he loses his job. Your prayers regarding his job situation is appreciated!!

Thanks for the prayers and support!!
To say I was "in shock" upon learning of the possibly that my husband may lose his job, is putting it mildly. We are actively seeking employment for him as the school year is drawing to a close. If anyone knows of anyone involved in education on the east coast, any help would be greatly appreciated. He teaches Algebra I and Algebra II. He has taught at both the middle school level as well as high school.
UPDATE: I guess because it is Friday night, traffic is increasing next door!

Maybe you could look into his teaching at a Catholic school. Yes, they would mostly be novus ordo, but he might give some good influence and be appreciated there... My elder sister Teresa has taught at a few different ones, and I think that they paid he rather well. Anyhow, just a thought. Prayers will certainly keep coming your way!
