I have an Imperial Shih Tzu (which is smaller than a regular one apparently, and much more expensive if the paperwork is in order). She was more or less given to us by the owners who were evicted from their home. The poor thing was clearly neglected, and even shows behavior consistent with being abused.
We never heard from the owners again, so I'll probably save up the money to get her licensed to me. I'm getting a head start in case shots are missing.
Also, we have two cats, one (orange and some white)being front declawed, the other (a long haired tuxedo cat with just a little white on the belly) having both sets intact. The long hair seems to have been feral at some point, and is very selective about being touched. If she's on the floor, forget it. She probably won't let you. If she's sitting or laying on furniture she will probably allow petting. She also only allows me to pick her up and hold her, and even then it's usually for a short time.
The Orange/White one is the one that is in charge. He's the biggest animal in the house. He also is very demanding about attention, especially when I'm trying to sleep. He sometimes asserts his dominance by chasing another pet from a spot and resting there himself.
That's about it.
