The devil doesn't care about those who live in mortal sin, so he leaves them alone. He is far more interested in Catholics who are living lives of grace or could be leaving mortal sin. That is why Catholics have such trouble.

We should also realize that worldlings don't care about other people enough for any sort of correction. As long as you are happy, it's all good with them. Fallen Catholics whether harsh or meek actually care about a person's eternal salvation. Sadly, we lack true prudent guidance due to the era that we live. It is good for me to meditate in Our Lord's meekness as I can be harsh due to my pride.

Following God's Laws will make you happy, not sad.

Following the missal once you have a baby is a futile effort.
Don't move for a chapel unless you can and are willing to move again.
That even Catholics are selfish. At mass and after mass.
Don't judge people or their kids by what they wear to mass, you were not helping them get ready and you don't pay their bills.

I still feel like too much of a baby to tradition to really contribute, but this one of Clotilde's gave me a chuckle: "You don't have to get rid of your TV, only use OLV homeschool materials, or buy an entire new wardrobe." Maybe you aren't prone to doing stupid things, lol! False....it's one of my specialties! 😉

Some people will be newcomers or very curious and may not have "Sunday best" or be very poor and not have much. Or in the case of some, drive very far. Every chapel has the family who travels over an hour to attend. Some even more.

I wish I could go back in time and smack myself.

Or maybe....just maybe....your child threw up on the way to Mass, and you didn't have time to go back home (and you couldn't skip, because you promised a Mom with a new baby you'd bring her a meal that day, and it was so nicely packed up), and the only store on the way to Mass that had clothes only had the following choices for clothes in your child's size: 1) skull and cross bones t-shirt with matching shorts OR 2) batman shirt with plaid shorts. (You opted for batman....it quickly becomes child's favorite outfit). I'm not necessarily saying this happened to me....just throwing a possible scenario out there......

Wouldn't the skull and cross bones be better because it reminds us of our end? I would totally be debating this in my own mind if I was in that situation. As a new mom, I had a lovely outfit planned for my son's baptismal day. I was covered in poo twice before we got out the door. I think of it every time I look at his baptismal picture.

Yes, the four last things would have defnitely crossed my mind! I am the scrupulous one in our marriage....that's why I asked him to run in and get clothes besides, too many people think "rock star" with the skull and cross bnoes: scandalous! (Scrupulosity)

Wouldn't you know, the moment we returned from Mass, my eyes fell upon the sit n spin, and I just KNEW the missing shoe was under there. Sure enough...

We had four different shoes from four different pairs missing. My daughter had to wear boys shoes for a while till we found one of the missing one out in the yard, down the hill.
