I like your spiral garden. It looks really nice!
I'll take some pictures of my garden and try to post them. I take pictures with the ipad, and when I've tried to post them here it always says file is too large. I'm techno illiterate so I'm not sure of a good way around that.

Find a photo sharing website...upload them there...then you can link them here

Clotilde, I thought you'd like to see our white gladiolus. I love them! I think they might be the most pure white flower I have grown.
Look at those ants. They are everywhere around our place.Attachments:

Look at those ants. They are everywhere around our place. Those are lovely. I have a sizable ant army, myself. Mine won't bloom until mid-August. I have poppy pictures I took today.

Very elegant. I don't have any poppies, and I'm not sure why. They are a favorite of mine. When my rose bush gets its next round of blooms I'll try to remember to get a picture. It's a yellow grandiflora.

When I'm not sure, I break a twig on the plant and if it is still pliable and possibly green, I hold out reasonable hope for it. A quick dry snap leaves me concerned...

"I have always noticed that wherever you find flowers, no matter whether in a garret or in a palace, it is a pretty sure sign that there is an inner refinement of which the world is not cognizant. I have seen flowers cultivated and cherished by some of the lowest and poorest of people. Where these emblems of purity are found, you may rest assured that they represent a hope, and speak of a goodness of heart not to be found where they are absent.” -Fr. Lasance, My Prayer Book

Cut flowers from the garden are bringing our home a pleasant sort of cheer despite the sweltering heat outside. Two types of gladiolus, zinnias, butterfly milkweed and butterfly bush. These are the 3 types of tomatoes we planted this year, from left to right: White Tomisol, Hungarian Heart, Sioux. They are all fairly large, probably 1/2 a pound each. I am particularly impressed with the Hungarian Heart. It is a paste variety. Most paste tomatoes are on the smaller side, but not this beauty. I have been wanting to grow this type for a few years, and was finally able to procure some seeds this year. It was worth the wait. *Edit* sorry the pics are so small. You can click on it to get a better look.

Hmm. I'll have to look into the Hungarian Heart variety.
