I go to the SSPX mission chapel north of Boston. There's several families with multiple kids. It seems like someone is always pregnant. Yes, one or more babies will start making noise but one of their parents either take them to the back or out into the hall... I find the babies and toddlers distracting only in that they're so CUTE! Lol... It is a lot like that at our chapel!

This isn't defend your chapel time, so you don't need to be on the defense. I'm specifically responding to the question of why there are no children at certain chapels.

I thought I was responding to your point that the cost of living is too high where some chapels are. Boston is an expensive place to live. Yet, at the chapel I go to, there's families with large numbers of children (4 or more kids) and they're not always quiet. I do know that one of the families lives in NH so the cost of living may be somewhat cheaper although NH isn't as cheap as it used to be... Most people don't seem to mind the noise, although there is one grumpy guy in the back but he tends to be grumpy about everything.

No offense taken on my part! Here are some thoughts as to why there are not many children at certain chapels... Some places the people who are traditional Catholics converted after their children left home, or perhaps they never had a family to begin with? Also, the cost of living in certain cities would definitely make sense why a large family would chose to live somewhere else. On top of this, I have noticed that traditional Catholics seem to look for a chapel where there are already other families so that their children will have good Catholic friends growing up.
