Welcome! What convinced you?
I've been held the sedevacantist position since 2001, for me it was Assisi II that put me over the edge.

Recently discovered sedevecantism and the truth dawned! Welcome, Anna! Welcome to the forum!!! The modern popes, and hence Sedevacantism, were what brought me to fully consider the traditional Faith also... How long have you been a traditional Catholic? Would you like to share a little bit about your background and how you "discovered sedevacantism"?

Hello, everyone. Thanks for a nice welcome :-)
How did I discover sedevecantism (I'm actually torn between that and sedeprivationism - although not in Bergoglio's case, obviously)? I abandoned the novus ordo years ago because it never felt reverent enough for me - too much like methodism! I looked into the SSPX but there was nowhere anywhere near me (so glad of that now!). I'm afraid that I found sedevacantism through listening to the Alex Jones show online. I never take anything at face value, so when something intriguing is said, I like to research and follow links to the source of stories. Sedevacantism and conspiracy theories would seem to go hand-in-hand!

Sedevacantism and conspiracy theories would seem to go hand-in-hand! I have never heard of Alex Jones... But, I don't get around a lot or listen to a lot of shows... You don't need to make an official stance as to whether you are for or against sedevacantism here. That is one of the great things about this site. It joins traditional Catholics who have one main goal in common: The salvation of souls. We accept that sedevacantism is a private opinion, leave the final decision about it in God's Hands, and pray for the day when the Church will be restored to her former days of glory. Welcome again, and God bless!

Welcome!
I'm in the UK too. Not a sedevacantist though, just an R&R ostrich!

Welcome! I'm in the UK too. Not a sedevacantist though, just an R&R ostrich! There is nothing necessarily wrong with being either a sede or R&R as long as you are true Catholic and follow the traditions handed down through the Apostles and good popes. Until the day comes when a good pope defines the situation, no one is bound either way. Hmm... To lighten things up... I want a name too... Perhaps I can be a little piece of sede pop-corn? No-one can sit in their chair because they are rolling on the floor laughing... We are all friends here!
