To all,
I have been posting sources in the reference library on the matter of Baptism of Desire and Baptism of Blood. I can assure everyone that I am not trying to beat a dead horse.
There are currently active groups and persons on the internet who are aggressively promoting heretical and erroneous teachings against the Faith by attacking these two doctrines. They do this through private interpretation of Sacred Scripture, the misuse of the teaching of the Church Fathers, and private interpretation (twisting) of Trent against its clear and natural meaning, as understood by every theologian since Trent who wrote on the subject.
Unfortunately, when this heresy takes hold in its victim, like all heresies, it is not easy to heal the person, so that is why I am hoping to post sources to help immunize those already not infected. These heretics prey on the ignorant, and in many cases easily persuade their defenseless victims to embrace the heresy as it is presented under the guise of orthodoxy.
I hope these sources are able to help those on this forum to learn their Faith on this fine point of the Faith. I plan on posting more.

Good idea.
It doesn't help that the Modernists use these two doctrines in an equally heretical way that pushes universal salvation and indifferentism.
One heresy usually leads to another via over-reaction against said first heresy. In this case we go from the heretical salvation for non-catholics who hate the Church, public unrepentant sinners and atheists etc, to the new heresy that the Church can teach uncorrected heresy for hundreds of years! Unbelievable! But here it is.
Classic Modernist tactics... find a doctrine that has been debated in antiquity... a doctrine that can be defined in a liberal fashion and still sound orthodox (on the surface), add in a few shakes of unconditional mercy and you have a new way for everyone to be saved regardless of what they believe, or if they follow any semblance of morality.
The catechism of Trent tells us catechumens can be saved by their desire to receive sacramental baptism (paraphrased)... which is one supporting reason of why adults are not baptised immediately on conversion in said Catechism.
To deny BOB is so incredibly absurd that it directly contradicts reason and BOD for catechumens has been directly defined by the most authoritative catechism ever written. The problem... can anyone else other than formal catechumens be saved via this "desire"? and what exactly constitutes this "desire"?... much of this is speculatory and starts to lead towards indifferentism if not very carefully handled... not to mention potential contradictions with well defined dogmas.
A difficult topic... even before the modernists got their grubby little hands all over it, and before Fr. Feeney got involved. He didn't come up with this out of nowhere... indifferentism was pretty thick in his day. But like I said, one heresy tends to lead to another if you look through history. You may have your work cut out for you!
Peace in Christ, M

Thats why were here doing our little bit. Invite some friends M.to join. A lot of my friends don't like computers. Others don't have time and if they did they wouldn't waste it arguing online with people. I won't have a whole lot of time for this kind of thing much longer myself and I didn't come here with the intention of debate... I was hoping to find Eastern Rite Catholics who had broken communion with the apostate sect Novus Ordo. My hopes were sadly "dashed against a stone". Oh well. I'll hang around long enough to make a point or two then I'll be on my way.
