Sedevacantism is not a religion. It just a position held by some Catholics, just like the R&R crowd. You need to be wary of the extremes, i.e., home-aloners and feenyites. Follow what the church teaches, that is the safe position.

Hi, I just wanted to ask if anyone is sedevacantist or could direct me on where to find more info on sedevacantism. There is a lot of information that can be found on this forum in the resources section. Be careful when learning from many sites that may lead you into sectarian sedevacantism, which is very problematic and you could end up in schism.

I normally don't have anything to add when Pacelli answers a question, but I feel like should add "...schism +or heresy." Welcome to the forum C.N. There are plenty of sub-forums with resources on different topics. If you're not sure what sectarian sedevacantism is this article by John Daly will introduce you to the topic. I think many of the posters here hold sede vacante. At the end of the day we are all just Catholics trying to navigate through a crisis and save our souls.

Granted, the word "Sedevacantists" lacks appeal, but "Catholics-practic- ing-the-Faith-during-the-Great-Apostasy-pro- phesied-by-countless-Popes-Saints-Mystics-the -Apostle-Paul-and-our-Blessed-Mother-not-to -mention-Jesus-Christ-our-Lord-Himself" is quite a mouthful. (:

What's interesting is that a guest who has never posted on this board was the first to respond. pjg, why don't you create an account?
