As long as the bishops are consecrated using the Catholic form by the existing 3 bishops in SSPX then the status quo remains and nothing is affected.

What would be those essential circumstances that would change the situation and prevent us from receiving the sacraments with them in addition to using a dubious or non-Catholic rite?

What would be those essential circumstances that would change the situation and prevent us from receiving the sacraments with them in addition to using a dubious or non-Catholic rite? The criteria I have a always laid out for myself based on Catholic theology is this: 1. The Catholic rite is used 2. The priest's orders are certainly valid. 3. The priest believes the Catholic Faith and by that to the best of my knowledge is not a heretic. These first three are hard conditions, that must be present, but there is one more that is more of a case by case basis. 4. Are there scandalous practices at the Church? Does the priest teach things from the pulpit that are dangerous or erroneous but not heretical? Will it harm others souls if I bring them there? Is the bishop, priests, or group sectarian and by that will impose rules based on their own authority, not that of the Church? Are there any other secondary issues that are not the three hard conditions that must be evaluated? If any of these first three ever were missing with SSPX or anyone other priest/group, I would not attend. I have already not attended many SSPX masses when they sent a priest with Paul VI rite of orders to my chapel, and I stopped going. Regarding #4, I have never at SSPX had any problem with them on those matters.
