This was our first real New Year's Eve party in our house. Previously, we had lived somewhere that made it impossible to carry on traditions from my childhood. So I thought, "Let's do this old school. We'll get some confetti, silly string, noisemakers." It was great, we even bought party hats for our cats. They looooooved them so much. Unfortunately, I bought confetti that was not biodegradable. It's still there. It will never leave. Archeologists are going to find it someday. The boys and my husband are out trying to remove it as I write this. I deeply regret my poor decision making and will never, ever do that again. In my defense, that is probably one of the worst decisions I've ever made, so at least I have that going for me. To make matters worse, nearly every guest or serviceman I've had to the house has asked me what kind of wild party went on!

On the bright side, it will be a fun memory.
About 10 years ago I was leaving my job to go back to college, and it was my last day of work. My coworkers thought it would be funny to stuff my car with "confetti" from the paper shredder. I was still finding confetti in it up until 2 years ago when the car finally bit the dust.

I WISH something like that was the worse decision I ever made.

I don't think that I have ever left such a big imprint anywhere (though we did draw with crayons on our bedroom walls as kids). Yet, for some reason people never seem to forget me once they know me... So, I guess that I must at least leave some sort of an impression though invisible...
