archive.org/stream/publicschooleduc00mluoft#page/n86/mode/1upThis is a great little book....This chapter on the effect of Public education on Boys makes a point I have been making all my life...not everyone is suited for college...or even advanced education....some folks are needed to be workers and toilers and farmers.

I'd even go as far to say that most aren't cut out for a college education. How on earth it became the norm that everyone should go to college after highschool is beyond me. It makes me scratch my head.

Well if one wishes to offer an explanation Id say a big factor is Jewish materialist worldviews...worldviews that infect in a dominating way ALL education departments...ALL banking and economic houses...Nearly all medical associations and hospitals... practically all of the sciences and of course government. Then Add the Media Entertainment 5th column...and viola "only a college education makes you succesfull"

I agree. The pressure on high schoolers to choose college as default is really destructive, in a way. It's a waste of many people's time and money, and adds undue stress and pressure on the students. My husband and I have already told our kids that college is there for those who need it, but it is not a given. I have no problem if my kids go to college or not, provided they choose 1) based on prayer, discernment, and God's will for their life and 2) they choose a path that can reasonably support whatever state in life they decide upon. We tell them that as long as they are doing God's will, then that's what matters most. Besides....our goal is ultimately Heaven, not Harvard (nothing against Haravard and higher education, of course).
I'll try and check out that link when I have a little more free time, Voxx...thanks.
