I'm sure you've heard of the different "O my Jesus prayers"
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy"
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, have pity on the souls in purgatory, especially the most abandoned."
The only thing that I can see online is that the latter prayer is from the Tradition in Action website. Offline, older generations have said they remember it to be the second one too. I've asked why we say the 2nd prayer rather than the 1st one and people say because not everyone goes to Heaven and not all souls are going to Heaven. I say the second one, but I was curious which one you say and why and if it's okay to say the second one?
Thanks!
