The following is a beautiful tribute to a great man, Karl of Austria, who was the last Catholic emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This man was not only a great and honorable leader, who loved his country, but also a very faithful and devout Catholic, a good husband and father.
It was a sad loss to the world when Karl was forced out of power into exile which effectively ended the Catholic Hapsburg monarchy which had lasted for over 600 years.

I like it but it moves to fast to read the history parts. I agree, I kept having to pause it to read them.

I agree, I kept having to pause it to read them. Good idea! It is one of my husband's and my daily prayers that God will restore a Catholic Monarchy on earth again... Well, in a sense it already still exists. The Habsburg line still lives on with Karl’s descendants. Emperor Karl never abdicated. In his letter, he only said he would give up practical control of the running of the government, but he never abdicated his office. The only problem would be how they could actually assert their claims to the office once again. It’s hard to say too how good the Habsburgs are today, whether they have kept the Faith as the faithful Catholic emperor Karl had done.

I once heard that one of the heirs had more traditional Catholic leanings, but who knows if that is true. It is hard to know with all the fake media out there...
