The consciences of many are now dulled to the point where they can no longer recongnize even basic elements of the natural law. The fact that so many in our country think it’s ok to murder unborn children, to artificially block new life from coming during marriage, and that marriage is no longer just between a man and women, is proof that our country and much of the world are thoroughly corrupt.
We cannot any longer expect such people to grasp other matters of the natural law such as the parents inherent right to raise their own children.

More need to take that attitude and display fortitude. The statists/leftists need a punch in the throat. Sadly, John and Jane Q. (re)public(an) idolize police. With an antagonistic media, any homeschool father who resists as you allude, would be excoriated. The trouble is that resistance outside of the legal and political system can in many cases make things worse. If the police determine that you are a threat to them, real or imagined, more and more will come and things will escalate, and it will not end well for the person. The best defense of our legal rights right now is by having a lawyer on call, HSLDA fills that void for homeschoolers, and to make sure you vote and get others to vote. The principles that used to exist in our Republic are for the most part gone, and our natural and constitutional rights are no longer secure. This is the sad reality of out present situation. But at the same time I can't help thinking of Anatoliy Golitsyn's comment about "what if we would have met them at the door with pitchforks and the soldiers had to wonder if they would make it back home after their shift was over. Would things have been different?" Of course I can't remember or find the exact quote but that is the gist. It is a decision that probably will have to be made at some point for people. |
