I'm looking for some holiday dessert recipes. Thanksgiving, Christmastime, and cookies for a cookie swap.
I make a lot of stuff but I'm looking for something new and exciting, pleasing to the eye. My favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies but I like cakes, genoise, cookie bars, and things that are on the more technical side. Nothing sounds good and I'm feeling uninspired.

Do you have a cookie press? Maybe you could do a spritz cookie variation like chocolate dip.

Do you have a cookie press? Maybe you could do a spritz cookie variation like chocolate dip. I don't. But I did think about taking some of my favorites and making sandwiches with them and then freezing and dipping in chocolate. I also found this cool Italian recipe today, it's a filled sandwich cookie that looks like a peach

Have you ever made kolaches? I used to bring these to my moms side family Christmas every year and they were always such a hit. My favorite fillings were strawberry and blueberry. They are eye catching as is, but a drizzled glaze on top makes them look especially appealing.

You can never go wrong with jelly rolls and pumpkin rolls. Pretty and tasty.
I saw a recipe for cranberry orange pistachio shortbread cookies the other day. It was fancy looking.
Sorry, I seem to be good at producing ideas instead of recipes today. If you're interested in any of the above I'll see if I can dig the recipes up.
Oh! Biscotti! Everyone's always happy about biscotti.

Yep. Pie filling is what I used. Preserves would be good as well.
