Salve Maria. Nice to meet everyone. I'm a father, husband, doctor, army official, majoring in thomistic philosophy, catholic. I'm 29 years old, living in Brazil. I am a catholic in an unceassing search for truth in the current state of crisis of the Church. Currently I accept Vatican II and its teachings, but I'm still reflecting and studying on this subject. I consider myself to be a traditional catholic and I try my best to guide my family towards that path. Thank you all for the welcome, and God bless.

Not being confrontational...welcome...but what teachings of Vat2 do you feel you must accept...or the Council itself. It is always mysterious to me how to Hold Tradition AND vat2?

No problem! All of the teachings. I hold that, if the Magisterium says it is reconcilable with traditon, then it must be. But I admit that my judgment cannot reconcile some statements.

Thank you John. I know almost nothing of latin, but I feel I could understand some of it if written because of the similarities with my native language.

Welcome to the forum! Are there many options for traditional Catholic Masses in Brazil?

Thank you RitaMarita. We have a few, but it depends on the size of the city. If the city has a population of 300.000 or more, there's is a pretty good chance that traditional mass is offered somewhere.
