Here are some sewing projects I have finally found time to complete for people: 1. Christmas dress for my niece: 2. A couple long brown skirts for a lady who goes to my chapel: ____________________________ modestandelegant.blogspot.com/

I would love to see pictures of projects which other people have done!

Those a great. I wish I had the patience to really get a good fit from things I sew. I need a lot of correction and help, I suppose I'd be better if I practiced. Food is my artistic medium of choice.

Those a great. I wish I had the patience to really get a good fit from things I sew. I need a lot of correction and help, I suppose I'd be better if I practiced. Food is my artistic medium of choice. I struggled a lot with sewing and fitting at first too, especially since I was self taught. Yet, I have found some easy ways to teach others simple but elegant patterns. One week I visited some friends of mine and we had a skirt sewing party where each of the girls hand sewed a skirt. I helped them a bit, but they all did really well! Using elastic really makes it easier to work with for fitting other people in general. That being said, don't worry! Everyone has different gifts... I struggled a lot in learning how to cook, and I will never be a good artist. Maybe we could start a picture thread of foods people have cooked? I think that would be neat also!
