Has anyone read St. Augustine's City of God? I just finished reading it. I thought it was very good. What do you think? Michael.

I found it very hard to read. I trust it is excellent...but my mind is too feeble to read it.

I thought it was going to be hard at first. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. I was "forced" to read it. I am taking a class on it. Now I have to write a ten page paper. That is going to be the hard part. I was hoping someone on the forum had some useful ideas for articles on it? Thank you, Michael.

I read the City of God decades ago, so it is not fresh in my mind. Sorry, but I don't think I can help on this.

You can tell us your impressions. My impression was that the world is clearly divided between one group that is with and loyal to God, and another that is not. The two groups are intertwined with each other until the end of the world.

I was too young when I read it to really gain any insight. I think if I read it again, I would take advantage of an audiobook, as I find my time very limited.
