It seems that the Byzantine Catholic Metropolitan William Skurla (Archeparchy of Pittsburg) had his own ecumenical service in mind. Here is an excerpt of the joint statement that Bp. Skurla made with the local conciliar "Bishop" (i.e. Zubik) and Evangelical Lutheran bishop (i.e. Kusserow) concerning the 500 th commemoration of Luther's Reformation ( which took place at his Byzantine Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist (April 4, 2017). Link here. For video of above event, click here. Note, Lutheran Bishop Kusserow gave the sermon. It seems this is a continuation of Bp. Skurla's previous participation in other ecumenical events - an Ecumenical Eucharist with other Catholic and Protestant prelates and Jewish Rabbis. (See link here, i.e. read page 4 of the Byzantine Catholic World Eparchial Magazine)

Wenceslav,
Thank you for exposing this wolf. It deserves its own thread, as everyone already knows about Francis, but we don't know all or even many of the names of the traitors to the Faith in the eastern rites.
I don't think it is worth the time to start a thread about any Roman Rite bishops appointed after 1970, which is almost all of them, as I believe they cannot transmit the apostolic succession, but I do think it worthwhile to document which eastern bishops have publicly defected, so we at least know who are the wolves in shepherd's clothing.

So does this mean alk the ruthenian rites are heretical No, it only makes the case against this one man, and perhaps any who helped him with this event. It is certainly not clear from Skurla's actions that all Ruthenian bishops, priests, and laity agree with him, and accept this heretical view of the unity of the Church.
