What are your thoughts on gun ownership for Catholic families? Anybody here have firearms? Prepping for Muslim invader scenario? SHTF?
Planning on moving to another country?

Owning a weapon of protection is a God given right. I dont think people should answer your question about whether or not they posses one themselves. |

Without admitting or denying you actually own a firearm, may I ask, what kind of firearms would you recommend folks to own?

There was a really good article in Backwoods Home Magazine about a year or three ago about how to hide a gun, especially how to do so outside and avoid specialized detection. It was a great article, I learned a lot from it.

It's a man given right surely.
I would have one, if I lived in America. Probably two actually, a high quality Glock and a fully automatic large caliber rifle with armour piercing rounds. I wouldn't carry though. I would keep them locked away and wait for the chaos after the big natural disaster or civil war that will befall you. My middle class neighbours would think I was a mild mannered liberal until then. Sun Tsu style.
In Britain I will just use sarcasm, followed by a broken bottle to the head and neck if necessary. I like my violence up close and personal. And since nobody has guns there is not much danger of being shot here.

-Hammerless 38 Special (for conceal/carry)
-Mosin Nagant (cheap gun, cheap rounds, multi-purpose)
-Tactical shotgun

Greg...I said defensive weaponry...Our Lord asked the Apostles if they had a sword...they showed Him one and He found it acceptable. Gun or brickbat...God approves of effective self defense.

Hypotheticallly speaking  ... I believe in owning firearms...for all reasons (home invasions, why should criminals be the only ones with guns, in case the stuff hits the fan nationally, etc etc) Mostly for protection of a family. Again...hypothetically speaking. |
