The following is a list taken today of the last remaining validly consecrated Roman Rite bishops alive today in the world, with claims to apostolic succession. Presumably, the list is up to date, but I can't say that for certainty. I can say that I have been following this for years, and the size of this list just keep dropping fast every year, as these bishops are all very old. I used April 6, 1969 as the cut off date, as all bishops consecrated after that day would have fallen under Paul VI's law changing the rite. It may be possible that some bishops consecrated within a short time after the new law would have been consecrated in the Catholic rite, as the new books may not have reached them yet, but that would have to be verified on a case by case basis. Are the numbers in the left column their ages?

The bishop’s list above is now updated to today’s date. It’s been about a year since I first posted it, and the list is now much smaller.
