At some point I picked up the idea that Novus Ordo protestant supper services resulted in the desecration of such Churches making them unsuitable for Catholic worship. Should I abandon this idea?

Yes, I don't think the idea can be substantiated in light of this explanation. If the Church tolerated even using the same churches as Protestants, I don't think the Novus Ordo is any worse than their rites.

Yes, I don't think the idea can be substantiated in light of this explanation. If the Church tolerated even using the same churches as Protestants, I don't think the Novus Ordo is any worse than their rites. This is interesting. So the Churches wouldn't all need to be reconsecrated. That makes taking them back somewhat easier.

So the Churches wouldn't all need to be reconsecrated. That makes taking them back somewhat easier. Only the Church can settle that with certainty, but in my opinion, I don't believe so.
