(I'm sure we all know IVF is immoral.)
A couple of FB friends maintain, thanks to some spurious apparition, that children created by IVF do not have immortal souls, being artificially created.
What do people here think? I'm inclined to think that where a sperm and egg combine, even if artificially, a human with a soul is created. God gives souls to children committed by sinful means, like fornication, adultery, rape, and even IVF. So, it's wrong to abort any such children. If they had no immortal soul, it wouldn't be.

Wherever the miracle of growing human life occurs, a human soul is in that growing person.
Some years ago I recall being part of a rather interesting discussion about identical twins, since they both come from the same pairing of one sperm and one egg, so do they have one soul between them or two, and if two then where the "second" one comes from.
