Thanks Pacelli. Does this mean I need to make a general confession containing all previous confessions I made with a sede priest who lacked jurisdiction?

No, I say this presuming you at the time of making your confessions were not aware of any Catholic priests with the faculties (authorized confessors) to hear your confessions, and most likely anticipated not running into any again possibly for the rest of your life. Read case #4 in my post above.

No, I say this presuming you at the time of making your confessions were not aware of any Catholic priests with the faculties (authorized confessors) to hear your confessions, and most likely anticipated not running into any again possibly for the rest of your life. Read case #4 in my post above. I didn't understand the issues, nor did I know that the SSPX had been given jurisdiction - nor would I have thought at the time that Francis could give jurisdiction to anyone as unfortunately the totalists were my first contact I had with the sede vacante position. Fortunately divine providence has intervened and I have learnt of all their errors.

It's important to remember that Francis cannot lawfully grant the SSPX jurisdiction to hear confessions, it's the Church which is supplying his act giving them the faculties to hear confessions due to common error, but I think you get the idea.
