This is not advice or a recommendation but a lot of people like mullein (lamb's ear) for respiratory issues. The flowers also can be used to make a cough syrup.
Another thing people like, ALSO NOT ADVICE, is reishi mushroom tea for a lot of ailments. The mushroom hunters I know all make it and say it works. Also, tea made from chaga is supposed to be pleasant tasting and to have health benefits. As always, do not consume mushrooms unless you are 1000% sure of a positive ID.

I use Traditional Medicinals Breathe Easy tea quite a bit for respiratory issues. Also, soothing ivy is very good.
Like Clotldie said, no medical advice etc here.

I have tried making my own bug spray from yarrow but it's better to just rub the leaves on.

And of course, nettles. They're delicious and highly nutritious. Men, this is especially good for you.

I've been reading about homeopathy, primarily from this blog, joettecalabrese.com/ Homeopathy basically means like cures like. It uses naturally occurring plants, etc to create medicine. Regular doctors practice allopathic medicine. Homeopathic medicines can be found at health food stores, Whole Foods and of course, Amazon. Homeopathic medicine was more common than allopathic until the 1940's when homeopathic medical schools and hospitals began to be suppressed. www.naturalnews.com/052268_homeopathy_medical_censorship_monopoly_medicine.html

Dont they sting? I cant get over that. The stinging component is deactivated rather easily. I've made smoothies and stew with stinging nettles and had no problems. It is a tad unsettling at first, but after you've done it a couple times the fear subsides. High heat will deactivate it, and apparently blenders do as well.

I've been learning about it from this gal as well. I started after I pulled two ticks off my daughter, one in which the head stayed lodged into her skin. I hate ticks, especially tiny ones.

The cold and flu has hit our house at the same time. I've been taking activated charcoal with the hopes of not getting the flu. I've been knee deep in soiled blankets, clothes and towels today, so if I don't get it, I'll have charcoal to thank!

When I get the start of the flue I drink a triple shot of strong booze and sleep...sleep...sleep. Does that count as natural? Works for me.

Unfortunately the triple shot wouldn't be good for this pregnant lady, and sleep, well.... that's a foreign word these days. Charcoal is holding me up so far!
