Increasingly I am hearing Catholics refer to other people as being "possessed", or that an inexplicable situation is a case of "diabolical disorientation."
My question is the extent to which it's possible for someone to cast a spell or put a curse on another person and have it be effective. And on the side of the object of said spell, the extent to which a Catholic in the state of grace can come under the power of such a spell or curse.
The devil deserves to be exposed for his works, yet not if the situation is just a result of someone's sin or some other influence unknown to other people.
I'm seeking solid Catholic information on this topic. There is a particular family I have in mind pertaining to this.
There are priests that I could ask, and will if necessary, but folks here are always so obliging, and I thank you in advance.
Please, if anyone reading this does not know the answer or where to find it, do not indiscriminately surf the internet for information on demonic curses. The reason should be obvious, but just in case...

You know Vox, that sounds a lot like a diabolical "obsession?" Maybe? Father Ripperger on YouTube give a lot of conferences on the subject. He is a traditional novus ordo presbyter. I am not sure if he is a real priest, but he is an intelligent Thomist. I would try to listen to some of his stuff with the caveat that he is novus ordo.

I bought his books on Deliverance Prayers and Psychology and Thomism which are both well worth picking up. The Deliverance Prayer book can be purchased for the kindle for a good price.

The psychology Thomism book is well worth it for anyone who wants a real beggining understanding of how real psychology and disorders actually work and not the modern nonsense.

No not you. Demons can actually possess an object or a workplace that a Catholic works at to cause Vexations.

I would take a container of holy water and start sprinkling it on any machinery or workplace areas that are giving you trouble before work to drive off any demons. I carry a container in my car in case of need.

Odd, I have heard of the type you describe in Father Ripperger's conferences. You may have been cursed, but you are probably in a state of grace so it would not affect you personally unless God allowed it. You where your scapular and miraculous medal? I would definitely listen to one of his modern conferences on the demonic.

I would pray the Saint a Michael prayer every day at home and work as well as on worksites. It is a quick and easy exorcism prayer.

Yes, Fr. Ripperger has some excellent talks on this. He was a priest for the FSSP for some time, but I'm not sure if he is still associated with them, as I think he is heading up some exorcist society? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Here is the link. Scroll down to the section on spiritual warfare. sentrad.org/multimedia/
