Does anyone have some slow cooker recipes they'd like to recommend? I've Started a routine of doing my cooking and meal prep for the next day after the babies have gone to bed because I find it much less stressful keeping up with them when I don't have to worry about cooking during the day. I'm running out of different ideas. Chuck roast pot roast sear roast with salt and pepper, set aside sautee onions, carrots, and celery (onions cut into thick rings, carrots in larger pieces, same with celery) for a few minutes on high deglaze with red wine add veg to pot with whole cloves of garlic to your taste place roast on top, add liquid from deglazing plus some chicken broth to cover at least 1/3- 1/2 of the roast add a few tbsp balsamic vinegar to taste and maybe a bit more salt add a can or two of diced or stewed tomatoes and some rosemary on top of the roast cover and cook 5 hours on high or 7 on low I have been making this for years.

Sounds great! The balsamic vinegar is a twist that I have never tried with a roast. I'm going to make this.

Chicken tacos. Chicken breasts, diced onion, bellpepper, and garlic; taco seasoning; can of diced tomatoes and green chiles. After its cooked, shred chicken and use for soft or crunchy tacos (corn tortillas are really good with tacos), taco salad, enchiladas, serve on rice.....it's pretty versatile. Red beans and rice (just the beans in the slow cooker). White beans are good, too....any kind of bean, really. If you add extra water, you end up with bean soup, instead. Serve with some kind of bread; corn bread goes well with beans. I made smothered park chops the other night, and they were good. I seasoned the chops with Cajun seasoning, put them in the slow cooker. Added chopped onion, belpeppers (red and green), garlic, and a little celery (optional); then sprinkled some soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. I might've added water and some chopped tomato....I can't remember now. I usually just wing it when it comes to cooking. It was good, though! Serve over rice, with a salad on the side. I did some round steaks that way, too. They were pretty tasty, too. I did chicken wings in the slow cooker once. They were good, but were falling off the bones, so a little hard to eat. I usually look on Pinterest for ideas....there are tons! you could do baked potatoes in there, too. I haven't tried that one, but I want to. BBQ pulled pork sandwiches or shredded roast beef sandwiches. Spaghetti and meatballs. Chicken noodle soup. Taco soup. I'm kind of throwing out ideas more than recipes....sorry

You can really do any type of cheap meat on the bone or off with root/hard veggies. The important part is just to sear and get those aromatics sautéed, and add enough liquid.
Personally, I like to grill, smoke, and use the IP more than the crockpot. However, I will say that it is easier to prep dinner for the next day at night, I've been doing this for awhile now and I think it improves my efficiency.

Onion, belpeppers, and garlic.....I put it in everything! Celery, not as much. My Mom doesn't like it, so I wasn't taught to use it.

sallysbakingaddiction.com/2013/04/08/triple-chocolate-layer-cake/This was the best chocolate on chocolate cake I've ever had in my life. I have actually never been able to eat a full slice of chocolate cake before, and I really liked this one. My husband absolutely raved about it. I made extra frosting so I could pipe designs.

Here's a simple soup my family loves.
Golden Vegetable Soup
1 16 oz. pkg. cauliflower and broccoli 2 Tbsp. cornstarch 3-4 potatoes, shredded 1/4 c. water 3-4 carrots-shredded 6-8 oz. cubed cheese, cheddar or American 2 cups milk
Place vegetables in a pan with just enough water to cover. Simmer until tender. Add milk. Mix cornstarch into water. Add slowly to soup. When heated through add cheese, stir until melted.

We were gifted a bunch of pork tenderloins today. I'm pretty excited about it, but I've never actually cooked one. What is your favorite way to cook pork tenderloin?
