Anyone do this? I do and I'm hoping to do better this year. I have the boxes. My husband even made the dividers out of plywood a foot apart. The first year I kept track of what I planted in what box to rotate a next year but now I don't keep track. Next year two of the boys found out how fun it is to walk on the dividers and break them.... So I love the boxes and use them because you can plant earlier in the year due to the soil drying and draining faster. For vegetables or flowers like broccoli or cabbage they shade out anything nearby so I no longer plant them there but in our big garden.

I have already messed up by not starting some of my seeds when I should have.
How many beans do you like in one square? Also, any tips on peppers?

Tried. Failed. I blame our poor soil 😬 I do prefer raised beds to just tilled up plots, though. Maybe I'll give it another go this year. We are fixing to muck out the barn soon, so I'll have some good dirt to put in the boxes. I also need to rebuild my boxes. We tore them up last summer, because they were all dry rotted....

I am behind as well due to baby and cool spring but I have bought chard and spinach starters instead of seeds this year. I have only ever planted bush beans and I do one plant per square but you could fit two if you are short of room, or just replant in three weeks. Peppers I do one in a square and try to plant shorter things around it. Peppers need to be watered a lot if I remember.

Ours are not very old and I can see they're already rotting in some areas near the bottom.
