Oh, wow! First Jen and now you! It must be baby season! You are welcome for the prayers! Please keep us all posted! Munda had a baby not long ago I believe. I haven't seen her around in awhile. I hope she's doing alright. Belated congratulations, Jen . How are things going? Baby is close to two months now, right? Hopefully things are settling down and not too hectic, and you are establishing a new "normal". I had my 7th on November 5. Also a girl (my fourth...the other three are boys). I'm doing well.....tired and busy! I'm touched you remembered about me and the baby . I still check in here occasionally, but honestly, for some reason, this site loads incredibly slow for me. So, it makes it difficult for me to participate much. I just happened to see this, so decided to check in quickly.

Munda, hey! It's great to hear from you. A late congrats to you as well. Tired and busy.... that just about sums up motherhood some days, eh? Things are going alright... pretty tired and busy. I'm not sure if it's my lack of parenting skills or just how my babies are, but she insists on being in the front carrier all day except for when she eats. Won't nap any other way and screams if I try anything else. Not sure what to do about that. I'm hoping this is just a short phase!

Some babies are just more high needs than others. She'll outgrow it. It'll feel like a really long phase while you are in it, but hindsight will eventually prove it to be short

Have you tried a baby swing? Or hammock? I find high needs babies to generally have a fondness for constant movement.

Some babies are just more high needs than others. She'll outgrow it. It'll feel like a really long phase while you are in it, but hindsight will eventually prove it to be short My first was colicky, and very high needs. People would tell me that it would end, and that it would be short and I didn't believe them! lol. I wanted to know WHEN it would end. With this one, this advice is much more comforting. I know it to be true now. My first turned the corner at 3 months and things got much easier. I've tried a swing, but not a hammock. The swing will give me a few minutes, which is better than no minutes if I need to do something that requires me putting her down. But the whole time she has this look on her face that she's going to scream the house down in 3, 2, 1..... Ah, well, these days are fleeting. Years down the road it won't be the hard times that we remember anyway, but the good times.

Young adult Children...harder than any colicky babie....and not as cute. But it is hard at the time. I would love a time machine to go back.

My husband and I were just talking about how we thought we were having a hard time at the beginning of our marriage. We laughed at ourselves and concluded that, in fact, we didn't have a care in the world. Lol. Each stage in life has its challenges that appear nearly insurmountable at the time, it seems. The colicky baby stage still makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it though! So glad it is over!

I hope you didn't think I was discounting how hard raising young ones is...I was merely lamenting that time being over.
