I hunger to revisit my art (painting) but will not do so until my priorities are under control -- in my case, clutter. Taming my clutter is my current project. I shall endeavor to do so artistically until I can return to true art.
I found the best way to tackle clutter is the "one trashbag a day". I committed to getting rid of one trashbag full of junk a day and it was super easy. Somedays I did not want to do it, so I worked really fast and was pretty ruthless on what I was getting rid of. I was amazed at the amount of stuff we had tucked away in closets, drawers, on shelves, etc.

My wife is having amazing success with a book called spark joy. Its a bit zen but the author is Japanese...I have seen it really give my wife confidence in attacking clutter...she knows to filter any zen nonsense...and she really is very happy and productive attcking years of clutter.
Yes, yes! That reminds me about the book. My daughter told me all about it, said it's wonderful! Apparently the book is quite a sensation around the globe. She should give it to me as a Mother's Day present, haha.

My sister in law and I turned this:
Into this for a dear old Catholic Lady whom Ive known for a long time....
To hold the office of Pope is vacant due to heresy or death is utterly Catholic and within the Churchs teachings....to hold a dead man or heretic can hold the office is insanity and not Catholic at all ANON
Wow. Clutter became a problem for a couple of Novus Ordo friends of mine who lost a loved one and everything seemed to 'stop' for them. I don't know if everything is the same for them, they were amongst the Novus Ordo buddies I'd left behind long ago.
The rule I keep for myself, and have for some years now, is that if I haven't used it in the past year, it's gone. There are of course some exceptions. But we don't do the, "Oh, I'll use that someday" thing. Except for fabric. Because I WILL use it someday! Lol. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I have wanted something I got rid of. They were just small things.

A few months ago, my husband began the project of extending our back patio. It was small area, and it got to be very crowded when we all wanted to sit out there together....everyone was on top of one another. Anyway, after months of red clay EVERYWHERE, my husband finally got the concrete for the poured this morning . I'm super excited to go see the finished result, and to no longer have the kids tracking red dirt all over the place.. The kids and I drove to my Mom's yesterday for Mother's Day, and will head home tomorrow morning, so we haven't seen it, yet. Next step is to add the patio cover, a picnic table, and a ping pong table....and hopefully a dart board on the wall! It'll be a great outdoor family area, and a nice spot when we have company over. My husband is also going to eventually build an outdoor, brick fireplace....but, that's a long term goal. For now, we can just enjoy the extra space
Our next big project is remodeling the livingroom. My husband is going to build a book case that covers one whole side of the wall. We'll tear down wall paper, patch some parts in the wall, paint, and put carpet down. I'm so reluctant to start, because I don't want the living room to be in shambles for a long time. I'm hoping that's not the case!

Update: She did give it to me for Mothers' Day. Arrived on Saturday.

It'll be nice when it's done! We re-arranged and painted our living room a little over a year ago, in honor of our family Enthronement to the Sacred Heart...we needed a place for a home altar. It was a fun project. Some of the big kids got to help paint, and they loved it. Book cases along one living room wall are next on my honey-do list

Sounds like a lot of work... You will probably be so happy to have it though! It will be worth the work!

Lisa: would fit be possible to list locations of chapel, so when traveling or considering moving one might be easier able to find a chapel, thank you and God bless you for keeping this list

Pacelli: Regarding Sedevacantist chapels, I would urge much more caution. Some are safe others are not. Generally speaking, most CMRI priests are safe.
