Ok so I watched the following documentary on netflix last night: Ive never really locked down my opinion on Fr. Martin....I do credit an early fascination with him to my restoration to the faith...but there is so much back and forth...the documentary has me leaning back into his corner. I highly recommend it to any good Catholic. No matter how you fall in about Father. This will be the only main thread about this subject if it happens to become a discussion of note. I know many forums have many threads on the subject...I will route all discussion to this one thread. It (the thread) is generally about the Man...not the documentary...but it would be good if people saw it before discussing him. It has really made me look at the good Father again. Interview with director (had to promote it through fright fest unfortunately) He realized it was to be a documentary not a "feature film".

I watched it last week.
Supposedly the man who accused Martin of having an affair with his wife is an ex-Jesuit priest and has long been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
I also have been told that Martin was somewhat of a liberal before Vat 2 but when the sweeping changes of Vat 2 began he woke up to what was happening and extricated himself from it all.
He is controversial, but his many interviews which are on YouTube are a large part of my journey to tradition.
And his voice is like melted caramel---I could listen to him all day.

I agree....that seems my general opinion as well.

Unfortunately Father Martin in this interview gives himself away as an R&R adherent.

Unfortunately Father Martin in this interview gives himself away as an R&R adherent. Yeah---but I'd like to think he might have come over to the sede side.
