I think it is sad that he found homeschool so boring, it doesn't have to be. But if he truly was bored then a public school will certainly be exciting for him. If he spent 12 years being home schooled then what grade did he transition to?

He is just going to finish at the Public school...he is in 12th...I actually think the risk of harm is very low as the school is in a very good solid "conservative" district Kids can get bored at anything.

Some kids are bored in things like these because they're not challenged enough. I was one of those people, so I can relate. (That's probably why my high school GPA was really bad, but...)
