School's just started; I'm wondering if they've been giving out any vaccines. Usually they start the flu vaccines in Oct. but I know for a fact if you've received a flu vaccine within three days prior of developing flu-like symptoms they won't test you because you'll be positive. This article didn't say anything about symptoms but I believe the other one said "flu-like symptoms." Not that that is what it is, I'm just brainstorming.

I think if it was a regular flu bug they would be quick to say so if only to stop speculation of something more serious. And as you said it too early for "flu season".
