DISCLAIMER & ADVICE
I have previously hesitated to post the directories of the Maronites, the Chaldeans, and the Syro-Malabar rites, as in these rites, in my opinion, are oftentimes found more advanced liberal or modernist practices. After reflecting on this, I want all possible mass options that exist to be told to Catholics, so they may investigate for themselves to have more possibilities for mass attendance. Catholics need the mass, and need valid confessors, so it is imperative that all of their options be known to them, even more especially in these very evil days we are living in. There are still some good priests that can still be found who love the Faith and the traditional practices in these eastern rites.
These rites by their particular law have abandoned ad orientum, (mass facing the East, priest and people all facing East), in favor of the modern practice of versus populum, (the untraditional practice used in the Novus Ordo Missae of the priest facing the people.) I will say that the Syro-Malabar Rite is supposed to be fixing this and returning to ad orientum, so we can see if that actually happens. With that said, these rites are certainly not invalid, and are not the Novus Ordo version of the East, as the prayers and texts leave the theology of the mass intact. If anyone needs proof of that, use the critique of the Novus Ordo by the Roman Theologians approved by Cardinals Ottaviani and Bacci, and apply the principles to the eastern rites, even the more liberal ones, and one will see none of it applies.
I have always said the eastern rites are the "Roman Rite of the 1960's", in which the mass was being tampered with, prior to the Novus Ordo, but not yet mutilated, and Catholics still kept going and did not yet abandon their parishes.
One is more likely to find other practices in these rites more frequently used, at least among the Maronites and Chaldeans, such as the use of altar girls, which has been specifically labeled by the pope as an evil practice. I would certainly avoid any mass in which such a practice is used.
I post these directories as a way of getting the information out to Catholics so they can check into any of these masses in their area, said by validly ordained eastern rite priests and using valid rites of the Church, so Catholics may have more potential mass options. I highly recommend going alone or with a trusted and educated friend and checking these churches out first, before bringing families, children, newcomers, or those not well educated in the Faith, to make sure they are safe places.
There are still little oases in these rites, and you never know, you may be living near one and yet unaware. Many eastern rite priests are not heretics, and are not liberal, and are staying at their posts, their canonical parishes, and are many times isolated and alone in keeping the Faith.
