I've seen several talks and have to say...sedevacantism is NOT dogma...but again FrHess never experienced Francis. Thoughts?

I met him in the 1990's. I think he is a good man who explained the issues of the crisis as best as he understood them. With that said, I believe his understanding of sedevacantism was based on incorrect assumptions of the position. He and Fr. Kramer were friends and shared a similar position if not an identical position on sedevacantism in the old pre-Francis days.
I think many opposed sedevacantism more adamantly when John Paul II and Benedict were "popes" as they, in my opinion, beloved they saw a way out of this mess through them and set aside all the theological problems that would exist if they were legitimate popes. Many thinkers with these ideas think that if the Latin Mass is allowed to flourish under these "popes" that the Church can somehow be restored over time. They believe this so strongly and with such tunnel vision that they appear to ignore everything else.
