Dr. Lundberg, the researcher from Sweden who has done immense research on modern antipopes and most especially on the Palmerian group and its “Popes,” has published the photos gathered in his research on the Palmerians.
The chapels from around the world photos show in photos the far reaching extent of the Palmerian group, which was a worldwide organization. When I see these photos, I am saddened that the people who built these chapels throughout the world and the massive basilica in Spain were clearly trying to be good Catholics, but were duped by the incorrect principles at the foundation of the claims of these so called Popes and the bishops in union with them.
I post these photos, along with the other excellent research by Dr. Lundberg, with the hope that Catholics will avoid repeating the mistakes of these people and will not self-create a false Catholic hierarchy or “Pope.” In the case of Palma a weak and pathetic justification was given to give legitimacy to “Pope” Gregory XVII. I have witnessed some current misguided traditionalists work to justify, with different, but weak arguments the idea of self-creating a Catholic hierarchy, which, in my view can only lead, to an illegal election of a “Pope,” and this will lead to a new sect, maybe different from Palma de Troya, but nevertheless, a schismatic sect, that will not be the Catholic Church.
The Church cannot have a new Divine Constitution, the one given by Our Lord remains the same and in effect until the end of time, and this crisis we are living through has not changed the structure of the Church in any way, including apostolic succession and the manner of election a Pope.
The story of Palma de Troya stands as a warning to all that rash and foolish actions lead to a bad end. Also, for what it’s worth, the Palma group did not just attract laypeople, many of the early Palmerinas were Catholic priests, trained and ordained before the crisis, so even these priests with their pre-Vatican II training fell for the papal claims of Gregory XVII.
As the photos show, these people were once good Catholics, who loved the Catholic Faith and were devout. They were the Catholics that did not follow the heresies and erors of Vatican II or the Novus Ordo Missae. These were some of the first traditionalists, but, who unfortunately responded to the Conciliar sect by embracing a newly formed schismatic sect. The Conciliar sect is only one current enemy of the Church, but there are others. There are dangers on the left and on the right, and the sooner Catholics realize this, the safer they will be. We walk a fine line in this crisis.
