Is anyone having a handmade Christmas? The only thing I am doing is helping my granddaughter make pillowcases as gifts for her family. I am however DONE - yippee! Every year I strive to have all gifts purchases before Advent and although I usually get 80% there this is the first year in at least 5 that I am absolutely done

I am making a homemade goody basket for a list of about 15 friends/family members. So far I've only decided on two things that will be in there: Povitica bread and blueberry jam. Other ideas up for consideration are an herbal Christmas tea blend and a bottle of homemade root beer.
I crocheted Christmas stockings for everyone in the family last year. If I can figure out how to post a pic of them from my phone I will!

Way to go, ladies! I may give a jar or two of strawberry jam out but other than that the kids are getting money or toys.

It's usually not until Advent that I start thinking about buying or making Christmas Presents. I've been ahead of my normal schedule this year, though!

wellnessmama.com/11392/homemade-root-beer/I've not made it yet. I've been waiting for the Wintergreen leaf to get here in the mail, and it did today so I will give it a shot within the next couple of days. I've been so excited to try it!

I checked it for carbonation today and there was nothing so I'm a little disappointed in that. I used whey to ferment it, so maybe that doesn't work as well or at all. I will give it a good week however before I consider it a failure and start over with a ginger bug. I just don't want to go through the effort of making a ginger bug! LOL

This recipe is basically a strong herbal tea with some other ingredients added. Now that I have a pretty sizeable package of Wintergreen leaf I'll probably be sipping some Wintergreen tea!

I seem to remember you saying once that you didn't care for fermented things, so maybe this could be a winner for you!
