Honestly. It's perturbing to see so many groups and so many splinters. Feels like every Tom, Dick and Joe is starting their own chapel somewhere in the country - most of them can only offer Mass very sparingly in some hotel room 3 hours one way.
Personally, as a layman, there is nothing I can do about what missal is used or what the Pope said on Thursday because it is all out of my control. I am worried about saving my soul through the Sacraments first. That could happen anywhere because these priests are strong Catholics. God led them to the Traditional Latin Mass. If they wanted to be complacent with felt and saccharine folk rock, they'd go to the NO seminary.
If you live near a full-time two-Mass-on-Sunday Traditional chapel, you are better off spiritually than most of the world and you should be thanking Our Lord every day that you're in that particular location.

Nope. I'm not tired of it. I was tired of if but I stopped associating with those who constantly obsess over everything. I didn't like the back-stabbing and constant back-biting of these individuals so I simply got them out of my life in every way possible.
There is nothing to be done for these folks so removal from the situation and refusal to participate in their antics is the only antidote. I only allow normal and loyal Catholics into my life now and it is much more pleasant. I don't read blogs, join groups, or view any other forums than this one.
However, when it comes time for my kids to marry, there is a possibility we may have to wade through the mud to find them a spouse.

Yes, but not as much as I used to be. I've become pretty good at putting my blinders on.

Definitely! Looking back I wish I had kept better traditionalist companions sooner. I do not think we always realize the unnecessary sorrow and bad influence some of these people bring into our lives. I recently had an encounter with a former associate where this person stated that anyone who disagrees with them is a non-Catholic and on the path to Hell. I was embarrassed to see someone formerly so close to me make such a statement but I also knew that I had done the right thing to step away from those situations.

The lack of unity is the mark that proves the sectof1965 is not Catholic.

Well, I certainly don't like it, but it's entirely understandable under the circumstances. The pope is supposed to be one of the main causes of unity in the Church, so with the situation we've had since Vatican II, and especially with Bergoglio, division is inevitable.
And if you don't agree with me, you're excommunicated.

It is for a good reason that all of us tend to not want to say where we are assisting; it always seems best to simply be vague. I will probably be the same way when I finally get to assist somewhere and I will try to fight that tendency within myself. I have found a place but the church itself is moving - actually, two places that are equally attractive to me and each of them is moving (!)
Anyway.... reading this from Senorita Rita ... where is this interesting place is what occurs to me !! I will post somewhere else what I have found after 2 1/2 years at least of searching.
I'm the one in Honolulu . . . a wasteland as is the entire state in terms of Catholicism.

The world is really a wasteland in terms of Catholicism. You can live next door to a valid mass run by a crazy cult or be surrounded by Catholics who are weekly communicants, yet are not edifying. I would just encourage you not to feel like the grass is greener. You can water your own grass, so to speak, by doing the best with what you have and being content. I spent years hoping, praying, and trying to work for a better situation. What I really found is that I needed to make my life, my home, and my heart the haven I wanted. I didn't need to wait for the perfect situation to get started. You just do what you can and be cheerful about it; because giving your best to Christ and His Church each day, no matter where you are or the state of the Crisis, is pleasing to Him.

The chapel I go to is in Vienna, Virginia. Being so close to Washington, D.C. creates an interesting mix of people who attend our church. So sorry all the good ones by you are moving... Hang in there and maybe God will provide something good for you over time!

Tired? You must be kidding.
It the only forecast I have made over the last 20 years that has come 100% true.
