The Alexandrian rite Catholics of St. Mark the Apostle returned to the Church from schism in 1846. The Ge’ez Catholics are located in the African countries of Ethiopia and Eritrea, but also have parishes in the USA and elsewhere in the diaspora.

Is this a holyday or reg Sunday? I’m not sure, but it looks like a HolyDay or Sunday verse a weekday liturgy since the Church is full and so many servers are present. A man I know went to the Ge’ez rite recently and he was amazed by their ancient liturgy of St. Mark the Apostle. He and his wife were the only white people there, and after as they were ready to leave the people asked him to join them for lunch, Ethiopian dishes, which he said was delicious. He said the people were very hospitable and very happy that he and his wife ate with them.
