The following, "Some Heterodoxies and Inconsistencies of Russian Orthodoxy," is taken from The American Catholic Quarterly Review, Vol. 25, 1900, pages 675-696. (Note: The article by Fr. Parsons' below is a succinct and thorough debunking of the Russian "Orthodox" sect in particular, but many of the heretical ideas he discusses can be applied to all so called "Orthodox" sects.). Thanks for posting this killer article. It's easy to see in light of the information here why Our Lady asked for Russia in particular to be consecrated (and why there was a Russian Orthodox "Oxford Movement" in the 20th century attempting to recover authentic Apostolic tradition).

Your welcome. I find it fascinating that many if not most Catholics wrongly consider the "Orthodox," merely as schismatics, but neglect to grasp that the so called "Orthodox," have seriously deviated from the apostolic doctrine on many matters, but some the most obvious are the denial of the Petrine office and the belief in divorce and remarriage. The "Orthodox," are hardely orthodox, they are heretical sects that have stolen the magnificent liturgies and rites along with the holy orders from the Church. This article highlights this fact clearly and cuts through the smoke that obscures the true nature of "Orthodox" sects which is that they are not just schismatic, but are in fact heretics.

It is a good term for them, the term "orthodox" as a name for these sectarians is misleading.
