Sign of the end in sight?

Let me explain this story and why I think it is notable. Ken Livingstone was a darling of the left wing when I was younger and leader of the GLC or Greater London Council. He was a mortal enemy of Margaret Thatcher. Since then he has been a member of Parliament and he is OFTEN on TV on shows like Question Time. He makes Bernie Sanders look like a left wing neo-conservative. He's about as left wing as Jeremy Corbyn the current head of the Labour Party opposition. Ideologically they should be on the same page.
The comments were pretty mild frankly and not in the least offensive. Listen to them 1 minute into the radio interview which is the second box down.
He's a supporter of the Palestinian cause however.

Becoming a key ally of left-wing Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn in 2015, he was suspended from the party in 2016.
Characterised as "the only truly successful Left-wing British politician of modern times" during his mayoral tenure,[3] Livingstone was a highly controversial figure in British politics. Supporters have lauded his efforts to improve rights for women, LGBT people, and ethnic minorities in London, but critics have accused him of cronyism and antisemitism and lambasted him for connections to Islamists, Marxists, and Irish republicans. Livingstone is the author of two autobiographies as well as the subject of several biographies.
I'm beginning to see more of this fragmentation. It's almost like in the grab for power they are pulling each other down rather than letting their opponents for power get ahead of them. Liberalism feeds by attacking truth, but the food source is drying up (little truth left) and now like a starvation victim it appears to be feeding on itself.
