Please pray for my husband. He has not been acting or feeling normal for several months now. On Thursday I got a call saying that he was going to the hospital in an ambulance for chest pains, extreme weakness and double vision. It was terrible. He could not even hold himself up while sitting. The doctor gave us no answers, and only guessed it was a respitory infection and sent him home with antibiotics. I am not satisfied with that- I know there is something else going on. He has a low heart rate, and high white blood cell count. A few weeks back he had sudden problems with his knee. It became swollen, red, and hot to the touch overnight and remained that way for a week or so. I want to have the doctor run more tests, including Lyme, Staph A and iron. Our doctor is not very friendly and does not take well to patients opinions or suggestions. I'm praying this doctor will be agreeable. If not, we will have to travel for a doctor to get these tests.
He went back to work tonight. He's still sick, and my stomach is in knots.

I will keep him in my prayers. I hope you get the answers you need and the correct treatment. Good work trusting your instincts (aka Guardian Angel).

Well his heart rate and white blood cell count is back to the safe range. He's still extremely exhausted and weak, and has quite a bit of brain fog. The doctor(s) we saw don't seem interested at all in figuring out what the problem is, but at least they ordered the first test that I wanted, which was for Lymes. Still waiting on those results.

What type of infection did they say it was? Respiratory?

What type of infection did they say it was? Respiratory? Yes. I know an infection can cause crazy things in the body to happen, but his health has been declining this past year. I suspect this episode was not an isolated incident, and I think there is more to come. Different symptoms keep popping up out of nowhere and they're getting more serious. The docs aren't interested in finding the root cause, but in medicating the symptoms. I've been on a research rampage this past week.

What does he work with at his job? Any chemicals or excessive dust? If yes, does he wear a face mask? Just thinking here, my sister got really sick because of her job and had to quit. She had similar symptoms.

She had similar symptoms. He works at a dairy. He wears a bandana for dust and dander, but it doesn't seem to do much good. I had not thought of that. He has worked there for almost 11 years. Did her health improve after she quit, or did she have to get some sort of treatment to feel better?

My sister also wore at mask at work but she was sick from the time she started till the time she quit. She did get better after leaving and taking time to rest. She only has an average constitution but I think anyone would have gotten sick there. If your husband's just milking I don't see a problem but if there is a lot of feed and silage and sand being moved it may be something to think about.

The work will still be physical, but not nearly as much so, and the hours will be much more favorable toward sleep. I think his body is just too worn down that it'll be impossible to improve until he rests. All tests for diseases and infections have come back negative so far.
