Anyone reading this who hasn't signed up as a member, please consider doing so. I lurked for a long time here, and finally joined when I broke away from another forum (long overdue) and saw some posts that I really wanted to comment on .
If any members think to themselves, "I wish we would discuss - fill in the blank - ," rather than complain, consider starting a thread yourself to discuss it. Say what you need to hear, and see how it goes.

Controversy does draw crowds. I'm thinking of one forum owner specifically who has stated himself that he lets things like that go because it brings more traffic. To each their own I guess, but my own opinion on that matter is that it goes against the bounds of charity. Petty squabbles have no place in Catholic community. Perhaps it is because Trads are a spirited bunch, zealous for truth. If we had a good Pope to lead us, there would be so much less of it I think. I think this forum draws a certain type of person, and it's not a good fit for many. The posters who do decide to stay and contribute, I sincerely enjoy. I tend to think it'll grow slowly over time.

This is a one size fits all Catholic forum...unless you're a "sedes are evil "or a "only my trad group is right" Catholic.

When I say it draws a certain type of person, I'm thinking more along the lines of people who aren't drawn to squabbles and nitpicking, or don't need drama to find a forum interesting or worth visiting. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

Let's talk about something interesting to see if we can draw a crowd.
Has anyone ever seen a ghost or something supernatural they want to share?

My mom told me the story of a few days after her brother died in Vietnam she was in her room upstairs. She heard someone come up the stairs, walk across the boys room and stand in the doorway of her room. She looked up to see who was there and there was nobody.

I dislike the vitriol on most sites. I am looking for sustenance and refreshment—not scandal and name calling. I don’t mind differing views, but I am old enough to appreciate gracious behavior, and I am not interested in being the Lone Ranger. I like it here, even though I probably won’t say much.
