The deposition of the venerable Belt of the Most Holy Mother of God. At the time of her dormition, the Theotokos left her belt to the apostle Thomas. This was later taken to Constantinople and kept in a sealed casket in the church of Blachernae. In the time of the emperor Leo the Wise, the casket was opened and the belt placed on the Empress Zoe, who recovered from a life-threatening illness. O most holy Theotokos, pray for us!

Do you know what country and Church? Could a Catholic go and venerate it if it is in such a place?

Do you know what country and Church? Could a Catholic go and venerate it if it is in such a place? I believe in Greece. Due the risk of scandal, any veneration of a holy relic in a Greek schismatic is at a minimum a risk. I think it is good to remember though that all of these relics under their control belong to the Catholic Church. Schismatics have no rights to the spiritual goods of the Church.
