Can we make requests? I'm looking for homemade snack ideas for adults and a toddler. Reasonably healthy ones, of course. I don't really snack but when I do I like Mediterranean and Italian foods. Salumi, pepperoni, cheese, grapes, hummus, etc. I usually just eat leftovers for small meals with no snacks.

Can we make requests? I'm looking for homemade snack ideas for adults and a toddler. Reasonably healthy ones, of course. The simpler, the better imo. Cheese, nuts, avocados, fruit... Cut up carrots, celery and grape or cherry tomatoes with creamy salad dressing for dip. Popcorn with butter and parmesan cheese. We do this kind of stuff a lot, too; along with pretzels, tortilla chips (melt some cheese on top for nachos), or triscuits. Stovetop popcorn and a smoothie is my "go to". For the veggie dip, I keep a jar of homemade ranch seasoning mix in my spice cabinet, and mix some with sour cream. You could do plain, Greek yogurt, too. It's really good. I mean, we do store bought ranch, too, but lately I've been opting for the healthier version. my daughter likes to bake, so she does sweet breads here and there: blueberry lemon bread, banana bread, pumpkin bread (or muffins), scones. I've also done homemade cheese crackers (so good!), homemade granola and/or granola bars, the occasional cookies and milk. Trail mix...you can make your own. Chex mix, homemade. A plate of meats, cheeses, and pickled items. Good grief, can you tell we like to eat 😉

I suppose McDonalds French fries and a cold beer is out? A farmer near us is growing potatoes this year for McDonalds. She offered me some when they are ready. Then she explained, "They're going to McDonalds for their french fries so they're pretty dry and really don't have much flavor." I said, "So the taste is all the oil and salt, huh?" "Yes." Gee sign me up, they sound way better than the no spray baby reds I usually grow.

Our grocery store in our tiny town is very hit and miss on quality produce, so she often gets the same fruit or veggie day in and day out for a week until they get something else in. She gets sick of it and refuses to eat sometimes. I forgot about popcorn. Thankyou!

I saved this. Thanks! Powdered buttermilk is such a handy thing to have. I use it in pancakes sometimes.
