Where I would be "willing" to attend conflicts with what my Spiritual Director will allow me to attend. ("Would you be willing" is not the same as "Will attend" -- two different questions there, one being hypothetical, the other being more decisive.). I trust him, or he wouldn't be my Director. I'm allowed to attend SSPX, diocesan, FSSP, ICKSP. I haven't asked him about SSPV. I am not allowed to attend SSPX Resistance Masses. If I weren't under his direction I would include sede chapels if my only choice on an ongoing basis was Novus Ordo. On an occasional basis, such as traveling and when no other option is available, I will cringe, pray my rosary during Mass while attending a Novus Ordo (offer it up) rather than "stay at home." Staying at home is never an option for my conscience. I consider it a direct and grave violation of the Third Commandment, and I have enough of a history with that, such that continuing to violate it would magnify repercussions to my soul. Been there, done that. Suffered and confessed. Eastern rite? The idea of standing so much bothers me -- mostly because it reminds me so much of what the current Novus Ordites do, even though their reasons are not the reasons of the Eastern Rite.

I have not the time I want to devote to this but standing was the norm in the Roman rite in different parts at different times. I just ordered quite a few books and haven't the time to go through them and explain this, but standing is only a custom. Knowing that, I try to make my objections only on what is novelty and not personal preference. However, I know that if someone feels one way or another, no amount of data or reasoning is likely to overcome that. I will potentially be posting some sources but I doubt any time soon as the school year has started and I have a big project eating up all of my study time. But if you are interested, they will be here eventually.

I'm realizing that there are two levels of involvement with these categories. One is a simple willingness to assist at this or that category of Mass (which I am happy to be at any authentic Catholic Mass, regardless of the Rite, episcopal lineage within the mainline traditionalist community, or "position" taken). The other would be a matter of "where I belong," put myself "on the membership rolls," go for other actions beyond the Mass, other Sacraments, parish life, regular spiritual director, count as my "home" church, and for that latter I am personally uncomfortable with Masses (or communities based on Masses) said "una cum" the Vatican heresiarch, though I would also be uncomfortable with a group that absolutely forbid any and all assistance at "una cum" Masses. That pretty much narrows it down to either the CMRI or any like-minded "independents" whether "sedevacantist old Diocesan" or "sedevacantist ex-SSPX."
I checked nearly all because I would go to nearly all (and nowhere when there is nowhere to go within practical reason) because I am open to all Masses, but a similar survey requiring one to check only one's first choice (where they actually would count as their "home" church, or would go if it were at all reasonably available to one), for which I would check CMRI.
