Just to get a little conversation going here: what did you do today? What was your non-glamorous day like?
So far, I did my morning personal care job, finished my meds (I had a horrible ear and throat infection), I called the florist for an order, I've listened to my little girls fight over PBJ sandwiches, and figured out what I'm making for dinner (Chicken Cobb salad). The boys are out helping another homeschool family move to a new home. My oldest daughter is doing Algebra.
Mundane? Yes. What I'm meant to do? Absolutely.

It's the end of the day. I just read to the kids, but the littles to bed, cooked and scraped out some pumpkins. Today I homeschooled, helped my son burn garbage, went through some totes of clothes and sorted some to give away, braided my daughters hair, laid by my toddler till she fell asleep, taped my splitting fingers, finished dishes after the kids did them, throughout the day, cut my boys' hair this morning, nursed a baby a dozen or so times, changes a dozen or so diapers. Oh, and prayed the rosary as a family. I'm exhausted!

Vox, that is amazing. It's freezing, your not some 20 year old dude but there you are running circles around everyone. My hubs drives pretty far to work but it's only about 50 miles and he gets to work inside.
God bless all these Catholic dads who are taking care of their families and working hard!

Woke up a little before 5 am, started the car for my husband while he got dressed for work, made coffee and had breakfast with him before he left around 5:30. Prayed the rosary with him over the phone while he drove to work. Then went back to bed for a few hours because I didn't sleep well last night. After that I got up and took a hot shower, made a late brunch batch of pancakes for me and my sister-in-law (who has the day off from work), and well, haven't gotten much further than that yet. 😋

This is a fun thread! Since it was posted yesterday I guess I'll talk about yesterday.
Got up at 6 am. I frantically tried to clean my house during my 6 month olds 4- 20 minute naps. She has to be held if she's not sleeping (fussy from teething). Went to the store to buy ingredients for my 3 yr olds baptism day dinner. Had her God mother over for dinner, lit her baptismal candle, renewed baptismal vows, etc, and of course ate cake- homemade white cake with buttercream frosting. Spent most of the day scurrying around with a fussy teething 6 month old on my hip. Changed many diapers. Cleaned up a few potty training messes. Played referee with my two toddlers. Prayed with the whole family, read books to kids, etc. Spent a couple hours in the evening visiting with our guest. Bed time 9:30- but up with cranky baby a good portion of the night. All in all it was an alright day!

My three year old only occasionally wakes up wet but my five year old always does. I don't even bring it up because I don't want him to be ashamed for something he can't help.

(Not saying this concerning your kids)--I found my kids at around 6 mo. found out it was way more fun for mom to carry me around the house so they can be around all the action than to sit in a bouncy, or sit/lay on the floor:) They are so smart:)

Yeah... Most people tell me it won't last that I make my husband a packed lunch for while he is at work. 😋 I used to do it for my dad when I lived at home, and it saves SO MUCH money!!! I figure I will do it while I can even if I eventually have to stop because of the kids. 😋😉

Yesterday I packed her around on my back and she really liked it. It was the first time that I've put any of my babies on my back, and I found it to be much less burdensome then carrying them in the front pack.

I made bread bowls today! They were for tomorrow's dinner which we were to have guests at. But we had to postpone it until Thursday because the weather forecast is nasty tomorrow night.
Now I'm left with a dilemma. Should I serve our guests two day old bread? Everything in me screams no to that. Should I make more tomorrow? I doubt I'll be that ambitious, but maybe. Or just forget the bread bowls, and eat the soup out of regular bowls.
Decisions decisions.

If you have to use them, toast them a bit and no one will know If not, they will make yummy bread crumbs for meatballs!
