Let's talk about seed-saving.
I have had a lot of success with almost everything I've tried. I'm always amazed that the seeds I've saved have done so well. I did not do well with mint, just regular mint, it seems tricky.
Some things like beans beans I just let dry out on their own; others my son dried in the dehydrator. I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out this year!

Great idea for a conversation! I have been thinking recently about trying to save seeds. I would love to hear any advice or memories anyone can share about what to or what not to do!

What kinds of seeds have you saved, Clotilde?
I've tried different flowers and herbs with success. I'm more interested in saving vegetable seeds like tomatoes and peppers, even though I've not tried. One of these days when there is more time to devote to it, I will. It's just that with tomatoes and many other vegetable varieties you've got to be so careful with cross pollination to get pure genetics.
My husband has taken an interest lately in propagating irises. Cross-pollinating different colors to get new colors of Iris. It's a fascinating experiment!
